Any conviction for a DWI/DUI will result in a driver's license suspension.
The license suspension ranges from 3 months to up to 12 months for a first offense. The 3 month suspension only applies if your BAC was less than .10%
Also, if you are a juvenile, and you are charged with juvenile DWI your license suspension may be as short as 30 days.
A second drunk driving conviction will generally result in a minimum of 2 years of license suspension.
A third drunk driving conviction will generally result in a minimum of 10 years license suspension.
All of the above suspension periods are doubled if you are convicted of DWI/DUI within one thousand feet of a school. (School Zone DWI).
Also, if you are convicted as a commercial driver, your CDL will be suspended for longer periods of time than those mentioned above.
